Into the Light

When I make images of buildings, it’s usually with a sense of the surrounding architecture too. The intrinsic emotion that gives that building its identity if you like. I also like to include clouds and reflected light from other buildings because then there is architectural structure while the light and weather give it flesh and breath. I am likely to include people for composition but also to give scale, warmth and humanity to the shot. There is inevitably some blurring of the generally recognised "genres", but I will have that feel for what I want and sod any notion of categories. Contact me for prints and commissions.
